Less than five miles from Parkside on the River are two amazing parks with endless recreation options for your family and four legged companions. At Garey Park on RM 2243, you’ll find a playground, splash pad, dog park, equestrian arena, fishing ponds, the Garey House event facility, pavilions, picnic shelters, and more than seven miles of hiking and equestrian trails.
Then there’s Southwest Williamson County Regional Park on County Road 175, one of the most highly regarded parks in all of Central Texas. There you’ll find 11 soccer fields, two softball fields, a football field and stadium with a 400-meter track, eight tennis courts, six basketball courts and a playscape. The park also includes a network of crushed granite and natural surface hike and bike trails. During summer months its Quarry Splash Pad is operational, bringing even more enjoyment to the experience.
